Features

Everything in the app, exactly as it ships.

This page lists what EvoLogs does in the current build, with the real limits. Nothing here is planned, in beta or behind a flag. If a feature is missing from this page, it is not in the app.

iPhone (iOS 15 or later) and Android (8.0 or later). English and Romanian. Four tabs: Home, Nutrition, Workout, Account. Last checked against the code on 2026-10-11.

Logging food

Three ways in, one review step before anything is saved. See Nutrition for the walkthrough.

Photo

Take or pick a picture of the plate. EvoLogs lists the foods it can see with an estimated portion and macros for each. Free: 5 analyses per 30-day cycle. Pro: 40.

Voice or text

Say or type the meal, for example "150g chicken breast with 200g rice". Speech is turned into text by your phone's built-in speech recognition (Apple or Google), then the text is parsed. You can pick the language the AI reads. Free: 15 per 30-day cycle, shared with recipe, ingredient and Quick Add AI. Pro: 200.

Catalog first, AI last

Every food you confirm goes into your personal catalog. Start typing and your foods are suggested; picking one uses no AI. Corrections you make are kept.

Quick Add and manual entry

Quick Add shortcuts for things you eat often, with an AI lookup to fill in the numbers (counts as a text meal analysis). Manual entries from a label are unlimited and use no AI.

  • Each ingredient carries a match label: High match, Good match or Review suggested. Your original text stays next to what the AI understood.
  • Meals are typed breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, pre-workout or post-workout, by time of day or by hand.
  • Daily targets for calories, protein, carbs and fat, suggested from your goal or typed in, with per-day overrides.
  • History shows each day's totals against targets. A report screen summarises the last 7 or 30 days.

Recipes, meal plans and the shopping list

All of this is on Free, without quotas, except the AI lookups noted.

  • Recipes. Ingredients with quantities, servings, optional instructions and a cover photo. Total and per-serving macros are calculated. Log a recipe by choosing how many servings you ate. Archive what you no longer cook.
  • Ingredient library. Your own list of ingredients with macros. Unknown ones can be filled in by an AI lookup, which counts as a text meal analysis.
  • Meal plans. A week grid and a per-day planner with the same six slots as the schedule. Fill slots from recipes or recent meals, copy a day to other days, see the expected macros before you eat.
  • Log this meal. Any planned meal becomes a real log in one tap, or automatically at its deadline if you turn auto-log on (next section).
  • Shopping list. Generated from a plan or a recipe with ingredients combined. Can be shared as plain text through the phone's share sheet.

Meal schedule, reminders and auto-log

Notifications are off until you allow them. Everything below runs in your own timezone.

Meal schedule

Six slots: pre-workout, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, post-workout. Each slot is on or off and has a deadline hour, with separate weekday and weekend profiles. Defaults: breakfast 09:00, lunch 13:00, dinner 18:00. A planned meal can carry its own deadline for that day only.

Reminders

At a slot's deadline: a reminder for the planned meal if there is one, otherwise a plain meal reminder for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If nothing was logged all day, one reminder between 20:30 and 21:30. At most two of these plain reminders a day.

Auto-log

Off by default. When on, a planned meal you did not confirm is logged as eaten at its deadline, marked "Auto", and no reminder is sent for that slot. "Skip today" opts a single meal out.

  • If you stop logging: one notification after 2 days away, one after 5 and a last one at day 10, then nothing. They stop if you turn notifications off.
  • Quiet hours: on by default, 22:00 to 08:00, adjustable.
  • Reminders use the tone you chose: gentle, balanced or direct.

Workouts

Say or type the exercise, confirm, train. See Workout for the walkthrough.

  • Session logging. Weight × reps, bodyweight, time-based and distance exercises. Warm-up, working and failure sets. Rest timer with +15 s / −15 s. Previous performance shown per exercise. Notes and an effort rating per session.
  • Exercise detection. Describe an exercise and the AI identifies it, or defines a new one with the muscles it works. Free: 10 per 30-day cycle. Pro: 100. You can also create exercises by hand with your own muscle mapping.
  • Your catalog. Only the exercises you have used, one tap away. No generic database to search.
  • Routines. Build from detected or saved exercises, reorder, star favourites, start a session from one, repeat any past workout, share with friends. No cap on how many you save. Custom exercises can be shared too; what friends send waits under From Friends.
  • Plan with EvoLogs. Pick what to train, where and how long; the session is built from your own logged exercises, loads and reps, with warm-up sets, and shown for review before it becomes your next session. Fill a routine's sets from your history, or plan from a past session. Free: 4 per 30-day cycle. Pro: no cap.
  • Activities. Walking, running, cycling, stretching, mobility, logged in seconds with activity templates. Optional AI calorie estimate: 8 per 30-day cycle on Free, 60 on Pro.
  • Workout estimate. At the end of a session, an AI effort and calorie estimate: 8 per 30-day cycle on Free, 40 on Pro.
  • History and stats. Every session, editable. Per-exercise history. Volume by muscle group over the last 30 days with an estimated one-rep max. Activity calendar. A 7-day and a 30-day report, for everyone.

Evo

The card on Home is the latest message from Evo, a companion that knows everything you logged. It speaks on its own only after a change: a measurement, a goal or target change, Health connected, a Monday with at least four logged days, a weigh-in overdue, a plateau, your return after a break. No change, no message. Each message is written from your own numbers and can carry one action or one question you answer with a tap. Tap the date on the card and Evo checks your day so far. Ask Evo anything about your data, from the card or from a meal, a session, a measurement or your goal; it answers from your numbers and says when it cannot tell. Free: 5 questions and 3 day checks per cycle; Pro: 300 and 60. Full detail on Evo.

Sleep, water and mood

Sleep

Bedtime and wake time; duration is computed, across midnight too. Quality on four steps: poor, fair, good, excellent. Notes. A card on Home and a list under Account. Can be imported from Apple Health or Health Connect on Pro.

Water

Daily target from 1,000 to 5,000 ml, default 2,500. One tap adds a glass of 100 to 500 ml; custom amounts too. Today's entries can be deleted and undone. Shown in ml or fl oz with your units.

Mood

Logged inside the sleep entry: five levels from very low to great, plus tags such as stressed, calm, motivated, tired, energized. There is no separate mood screen.

Body measurements

  • Per entry: date, height and weight (required), and optionally neck, chest, left and right arm, waist, navel, hips, left and right thigh, left and right calf, notes, and up to three progress photos tagged front, left and right.
  • Weight trend chart over a week, month, 3 months, year or all time, with lowest, highest and start-versus-now. A row per measured body part. A side-by-side photo comparator.
  • The first entry can be seeded from the height and weight in your profile.
  • Free keeps 3 entries in total. Pro removes the cap. Body fat percentage is not an input today.

Health Sync (Pro)

Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android. New accounts get it for their first 7 days; after that it is Pro. Each direction has its own toggles, and the app shows whether permission is granted for each one.

Reads

  • Sleep: last night's session, saved to the day you woke up.
  • Workouts recorded by your watch or another app, imported as activities. Looks back 7 days and skips anything you already logged.

Writes

  • Workouts, when you end a session.
  • Nutrition: calories, protein, carbs and fat, when you log a meal.
  • Water, when you log a glass.
  • A one-tap backfill exports the last 7 days.

Your own entries always win over imported ones. Sync runs when you open the app or log something, not in the background. If Pro ends, your settings are kept and sync pauses.

Supplements (Pro)

  • A daily plan grouped by time of day: morning, before workout, after workout, lunch, afternoon, dinner, evening.
  • Per item: name, dose and unit (mg, g, mcg, IU, ml, capsule, tablet, scoop), how to take it (with, before or after a meal, empty stomach, before sleep, flexible) and notes.
  • Twenty presets with usual doses, such as creatine 5 g or vitamin D3, to add in one tap.
  • It is a plan you read, not a reminder: there are no supplement notifications.

Friends and sharing

Free, friend to friend, up to 20 friends.

  • Adding a friend. Send your invite link (evologs.com/invite/…) from the phone's share sheet, or search for someone in the app and send a request. Requests can be accepted, declined or cancelled. You can turn off being findable.
  • Meal plans. Share a plan with one or more friends. They see a live, read-only copy and a shopping list derived from it, and can stop watching it at any time.
  • Recipes and routines. Shared items land in a "Shared with me" list. Saving one makes an independent copy in the friend's own library.
  • Plain text. Your shopping list and your nutrition history (macros per day, or the meals themselves) can be sent to anyone through the share sheet.
  • Friends see how many workouts you logged this week. Nothing else is visible to them.

Account, data and privacy

  • Sign in with email and password (verified by email), Google or Apple. An account is required; there is no guest mode.
  • Settings: language (system, English, Romanian), metric or imperial units, timezone, tone of voice (gentle, balanced, direct), goal, lifestyle, macro targets, notification settings.
  • Analytics are opt-in. Usage analytics are off until you say yes in the app, and can be switched off again.
  • AI consent can be withdrawn in one place under AI data settings, which also lists what is and is not sent to the AI provider. Your name and contacts are never sent.
  • Data export: a prefilled email request from the app; the export is sent to you. There is no in-app CSV or PDF download.
  • Delete account: from the app, after re-authentication. Deletion is scheduled with a 7-day grace period during which you can sign back in and tap Undo. See Account deletion.
  • Subscriptions are managed and restored through the App Store or Google Play.

What is not in the app

So you do not have to find out after installing.

  • No barcode scanner and no packaged-food database search. Logging is photo, voice, text, catalog, recipe or manual.
  • No streak-loss warning and no "you missed a day" screen. Home shows a small "N day streak" line under Today, which resets quietly when you skip a day.
  • No habit tracker. Onboarding asks a few lifestyle questions once; that is all.
  • No general chatbot. Evo answers about your data, goal, meals and training, from your own entries; it does not browse the web or chat about anything else.
  • No weekly recap screen and no evening review. The week review is a message from Evo on Monday, when you logged at least four days.
  • No free trial on either plan, and no unlimited AI on Pro.
  • No background sync with Apple Health or Health Connect, and no supplement reminders.
  • No dark mode and no in-app CSV or PDF export yet.
